MARS CLINIC

Your Partner in Children’s Continence

Are you dealing with a child or adolescent with bladder or bowel problems and don’t know if you should seek help? We understand that continence issues can sometimes seem embarrassing. However, at the Mars Clinic, no problem is too big or too small. Our specifically trained Physiotherapists use the latest technology and scientific research to provide a specific diagnosis and treatment plan.

Do you notice that your child is struggling with toileting? Is your child having problems with:

  • Wetting during the day?
  • Wetting the bed at night?
  • Needing to go to the toilet many times a day?
  • Soiling their underwear?
  • Recurrent urinary tract infections?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, we may be able to help.

Most children, but not all, gain bladder and bowel control by 4 to 5 years of age. It is important that all children over 5 years, with daytime wetting or soiling issues, are seen by a Health Professional experienced with children’s continence.

The Purpose of the Mars Clinic

Why do we do what we do?

With 3% of Australian school-aged children having problems with daytime bladder control and 10% suffering from bedwetting, the Mars Clinic was established to meet the significant community need for specialist treatment of children with bladder and bowel conditions.

At the Mars Clinic, we have made a serious commitment to excellence in the physiotherapy management of bladder and bowel conditions for children and adolescents.
